I am going to order my book today. Who’s with me? I would like to set up a Zoom call to discuss the book. Check out the book below.
We will start reading May 27th.

HaPPY BiRtHdaYYYYY! to me! Be sure to check out my back down memory lane slideshow below. I absolutely love love to celebrate birthdays and today is my special day! I celebrated this past Saturday. Hubby treated me to a day trip to the beach in Florida. I enjoyed the rain and the sun as well as found some driftwood as I walked along the water.
I solute my queen today who is absolutely the best mom ever! There is no river or ocean I would not cross for her. Over the years, she has shared her journey of life with me just so I would know her even better. We have had our ups and downs and the ups have definitely outweighed the downs and I CHERISH every moment I get to spend with her. I thank her for her wisdom she imparted in my life and the lives of others. She is a mother and woman who will give her last for anyone. My heartbeat!
Throughout the most important years of my childhood life, she raised me the best way she knew how although we both later realized made a huge impact on our relationship and my adulthood. Thanks to God we were able to have those conversations and come to terms with the past. I am so thankful she made the choice to leave NJ when she did, which she no longer wanted to raise her children there.
Since being an adult, I made a vow that it is my turn to take care of her to make sure she has everything she needs because she definitely did her part as a mother. I never want to have the regret of not doing what I could for her especially when I am well and able. I will never forget her words, “no one can take the place of your mother” and I can only imagine those words being true.
This is a beautiful poem I found years ago that is near and dear to my heart. I read it from time, just as a reflections of having an aging mother who has a fun spirit and who is Blessed to be a Blessing. As my grandfather, Jack White Sr. would say…just keep living…
Letter from A Mother to a Daughter.. My dear girl, the day you see I’m getting old, I ask you to please be patient, but most of all, try to understand what I’m going through. If when we talk, I repeat the same thing a thousand times, don’t interrupt to say: “You said the same thing a minute ago.” Just listen, please. Try to remember the times when you were little and I would read the same story night after night until you would fall asleep. When I don’t want to take a bath, don’t be mad and don’t embarrass me. Remember when I had to run after you making excuses and trying to get you to take a shower when you were just a girl? When you see how ignorant I am when it comes to new technology, give me the time to learn and don’t look at me that way. Remember, honey, I patiently taught you how to do many things like eating appropriately, getting dressed, combing your hair, and dealing with life’s issues every day. The day you see I’m getting old, I ask you to please be patient, but most of all, try to understand what I’m going through. If I occasionally lose track of what we’re talking about, give me the time to remember, and if I can’t, don’t be nervous, impatient, or arrogant. Just know in your heart that the most important thing for me is to be with you. And when my old, tired legs don’t let me move as quickly as before, give me your hand the same way that I offered mine to you when you first walked. When those days come, don’t feel sad, just be with me, and understand me while I get to the end of my life with love. I’ll cherish and thank you for the gift of time and joy we shared. With a big smile and the huge love I’ve always had for you, I just want to say, I love you, my darling daughter.
Unfortunately due to the shelter in place due to COVID-19, we are unable to host the party my sister and I was planning for her so we will celebrate with friends and family via Zoom and hopefully celebrate at later date.
I thank God for you! I love you ma and every breath that you breathe! your daughter…Tosha
And when Jesus saw her, he called her to Him, and said unto her, Woman, thou are loosed from thine infirmity. (Luke 13 : 12).
Scripture: Luke 8: 43-48
At times, the Holy Spirit reminds us who our Divine Physician is. Think back to the woman with the issues of blood.
47 And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was HEALED immediately.
Maybe her story is not your story but we all have a story, a problem that needed a prescription. For every problem our God has a prescription! I personally have learned to seek Him first in all things, in times of doubt, fear, sickness and even in health.
Matthew 6:33 New King James Version (NKJV) 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
You may have the condition, you may understand where it came from and what it is, now the authority of God’s Word will put this behind you. Know that God is your prescription to your healing. Continue to to walk in healing. The woman had the issue of blood for many years however when she touched the hem of his garment, she was completely healed.
Memorize and recite this prayer to yourself if you ever doubt God’s love for you.
“God, I am free by the power of Your Word. I believe You have given me the strength to break free from the bonds that have been holding me back from all the beautiful things You have planned for me. I thank You that I am free by the blood of Jesus and the sacrifice that He made on the cross of Calvary. Thank you for making me free through the truth of Your Word and for empowering me with Your power, strength, and wisdom. Help me to be all You want me to be. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
John 17 : 17 Sanctify them [purify, consecrate, separate them for Yourself, make them holy] be the Truth; Your Word is Truth
My early morning routine…bible journaling it allows me that time to spend with God and reflect on His word for my life. This is my prayer closet that I set up earlier last year in my guest room. I am in the process of redecorating the room to give it that serene feeling.
Bible journaling was something I also started about 2 years ago year. I went out and purchased all the supplies with hopes of hosting a workshop one day as well as creating my own inspirational journal pages which I did create the pages and will be working on another idea for a journal ..soon.
My event ended up being a vision board workshop instead of Bible journaling.
God is speaking to my heart and I am enjoying this journey. Give Him all the Glory, Honor and Praise even in the midst of the storm.
Please share pics if you have a prayer closet or a war room in your home, share your bible journal as well as your comments 💞
Wow! Blog life is such an awesome journey! I have thoroughly enjoyed writing out my thoughts as well as reading the thoughts of others. Thanks to Tangie Woods @ https://tangietwoods.blog/ for nominating me! We recently connected and she seems like a jewel. God is answering my prayers, connecting me with other like-minded women across the globe. I look forward to getting her comments and likes especially while I’m doing my part by staying home amid Covid-19 (this too shall pass).
I set up my blog account quite some time ago and shared a few posts about home keeping which I truly enjoy. My home is my safe place and my goal is to have it set up to enjoy just as I would if I were at a resort. Life took a turn and was very busy with work although my blog stayed on my mind. I recently returned to it and looking forward to the journey to blog about God, home keeping, budgeting tips, shopping, my Women’s Ministry through my nonprofit, House of Empowerment, Inc. and more.

I started this post two days ago however God spoke to my spirit on last night and told me to tell as many as I could reach that He is very angry at how the world is operating. He advised we have to do better or we will experience famine next. He has given us chance after chance and this is our last chance. He is going to heal this land and advised that this virus served as a wake up call. We must realize that we are all human beings, we have all been very wasteful and that we must…we must.. put more love in our heart for one another.
The last time He gave me a revelation , I was disobedient and his word came forth related to someone’s healing however I had only told my husband about it and I didn’t deliver the word to the individual. This time I will be obedient. I pray that we as a nation become united as one. Regardless of the color of our skin. Regardless of democrat or republican. We are one nation under God.
Scripture: Jeremiah 24 : 1- 10
During my morning bible study, sometimes I love to just open my Bible and start reading and the scripture that I opened it to this morning came from Jeremiah 24 : 1-10. What a revelation! It is in the Word.
Now I will share the initial post….As we are asked to remain home amid the Covid-19 crisis across the globe, I want to encourage you as you begin to spend these moments with your family also take time to spend with God by praying and reading your bible. These have been days unlike ever before. We as Christians know that this is not a surprise to God. Through it all God is in control and He loves us unconditionally. We must continue to give Him all of the glory, praise and honor even as we go through this. As with any other storms, we know that there is an end and only He knows the outcome.
I recently sat in my office and reflected on life prior to Covid-19 and how the world was in such an uproar, Democrats vs. Republicans, the President vs. the world and Obama, the people vs. the President, white vs. black…against other races, you name it, there is an argument going forward. I hated to turn on the news. I just knew we could not continue to stand as a nation in such an uproar. What came to me was the famous quote, a house divided cannot stand. As an American, our house/ nation is definitely divided and we were destined for a wake- up call.
Amid Covid-19, I’ve recently seen an announcement of a National Day of Prayer, more individuals turning to God for guidance. We all have our own beliefs but I will continue to stand on the word of God.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear Him. But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear Him. (Psalm 103:11-17).
One person’s love for another is often subject to change. Many marriages fail because the love between marriage partners wanes as time goes by. The high divorce rate indicates that human love is inconstant.
God’s love for His children is different. It is unchanged and eternal. Although, God knows how sinful we are, He does not want us to perish. That is why He sent a Savior. All who believe in Jesus can be children of God and share in His covenant of love: “For God so loved the world that the gave is one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
However, God expects His children to obey Him and to live as He requires. Isaiah 54:10 says, “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.
Memorize this prayer and recite it to yourself if you ever doubt God’s love for you.
Father, I find it incomprehensible that You, who are so great and wonderful, can love me in this way. I glorify You for Your constant and everlasting love. Help me to live as You require of me. Amen
